From the bloodlines perspective “Dyna”, as this mare is referred to, comes from a line of outstanding performers. Her sire, Ill Be Smart, has offspring earnings of nearly $1.4 million in cutting, reining and working cowhorse events and is a full brother to Smart Little Lena, one of the cutting industry’s most prominent sires. Dyna’s dam is out of Lenas Dynamite, a mare who herself earned in excess of $265,000. A solid bodied, three-year-old bay mare with a white left hind pastern, she has a warm expression and loves scratches. In fact, she is jealous of other herd mates seeking human attention as she wants it all to herself! If you scratch her belly she’ll wrap her neck around you in a soft loving way.
Dyna is a right brain extrovert accounting for her athleticism and perceptiveness. She came into our program when we began assimilating some of the horses from the former cutting program that the trainer had misunderstood. Kalley has said, “Dyna has a special place in my heart. She has a high spirit and was extremely skeptical and worried about the human when she first came under my auspices.” She goes on to say, “Since then she has made tremendous changes and now puts incredible effort into being with the human and loves the horse/human interaction and relationship.” A true partner she’ll be.
Mira from Germany, here in the states for her first Uni module says “I am currently playing with Dyna, a beautiful, young, bay Quarter Horse mare. She has been my partner for three weeks now and she is a great experience. She is very sensitive, curious and brave!” Being an extrovert, “most of the time she is confident. She is a lot of fun to play with on the ground and in the saddle. She seems to be a little more on the ‘whoa’ side of life.” Following a distraction, “when you get her attention back and she trusts you, I know she´ll do a lot for you and she is a great Partner! I am very excited to see how far our journey will take us the next 7 weeks.” |
